Overview

This programme has been designed to enable you to:

  • improve your knowledge about adverse drug reaction prevalence and the characteristics of different types of adverse drug reactions. You will be able to discuss examples of adverse drug reactions and the stages of drug marketing (ADR part 1);
  • report adverse drug reactions with more confidence (ADR part 2);
  • have a greater understanding of which patients are at risk of adverse drug reactions and to develop strategies for communication risk to patients. You will be able to discuss patient Yellow Card reporting and the role patients play in improving patient safety (ADR part 3).

This three-part adverse drug reaction series will support you to develop your patient safety role by increasing your understanding of adverse drug reactions (ADRs), their identification, reporting and prevention.

Please note: this new Adverse drug reactions – Online e-learning series replaces the previously offered distance learning pack, and the latter is now discontinued.
