Description

Overview:

The focus of this learning programme is considering how you have deliver high quality responses to questions about medicines. The programme will help you consider how to gather information and formulate an answer that will be evidence-based, relevant to the enquirer and focussed on improving patient outcomes.

Answering medicines-related questions in practice contains reflective questions and scenarios to help you focus on questioning skills and delivering an effective answer.

The programme also contains an information resource section, you will find free to access NHS resource lists for topics such as evaluate trial evidence, new medicine on the market, medicines in the news, and alternative medicines.

Answering medicines related questions in practice has been developed by CPPE and UKMi with some minor amendements made by Zainab Alani, Welsh Medicines Information Centre on behalf of WCPPE.

Learning objectives:

On completion of all aspects of this learning programme you should be able to:

  • Identify essential information required to answer a medicines-related question
  • Assess a medicines-related question using appropriate information resources
  • Understand the principles of formulating a question answer and apply to practice examples
