Overview
This learning programme has been designed to raise awareness of Escherichia coli with health professionals involved in advising the public. The aim is to provide a brief update on the management and prevention of Escherichia coli and appropriate advice to minimise the further spread of the disease.
Learning objectives
By the end of the module, participants should be able to:
- Describe the symptoms, complications and management of Escherichia coli
- Identify the routes of transmission for all types of Escherichia coli
- Understand the role of a pharmacist in detecting and supporting patients with Escherichia coli
This learning programme should take approximately 20 minutes to complete (approximately 15 minutes for the update programme and 5 minutes for each attempt at the post-course quiz).
