Overview
This learning programme has been designed to raise the awareness of giardia with healthcare professionals involved in advising the public. The aim is to provide a brief update on the management and prevention of giardia and appropriate advice to minimise the further spread of this disease.
Learning objectives
By the end of this module, participants should be able to:
- Describe the symptoms, complications and management of giardia
- Identify the routes of transmission for all types of giardia
- Understand the role of all healthcare professionals in detecting and supporting patients with giardia
This learning programme should take approximately 20 minutes to complete (approximately 15 for the update programme and 5 minutes for each attempt at the post-course quiz).
