Overview
This learning programme has been designed to raise the awareness of pertussis (whooping cough) with healthcare professionals involved in advising the public. The aim is to provide a brief update on the management and prevention of pertussis and appropriate advice to minimise the further spread of this disease.

- Describe the symptoms, complications and management of pertussis
- Identify the routes of transmission for pertussis
- Understand the pertussis vaccination programme
- Understand the role of all healthcare professionals in detecting and supporting patients with pertussis
