Overview
This programme has been developed for all staff working in a primary care setting who deal with vaccines. It will cover the vaccination programme in Wales, vaccine storage requirements as well as the process of handling vaccines from manufactuers to using them with patients.

After completing this programme you should be able to:
- Advise patients on the Welsh vaccination programme
- Describe current vaccine storage and handling recommendations
- Discuss the importance of maintaining the cold chain
- Understand the importance of correct ordering and receipt of vaccine procedures
- Describe measures to maintain refrigerator temperatures
- Know how to deal with abnormalities of temperatures
- Report adverse drug reactions and patient safety incidents relating to vaccines
