Overview
This learning programme has been designed to raise the awareness of scarlet fever with healthcare professionals involved in advising the public.
The aim is to provide a brief update on the prevention, management and appropriate advice to minimise the further spread of scarlet fever.
Learning objectives
By the end of this module, participants should be able to:
- Describe the symptoms, complications and management of scarlet fever
- Identify the routes of transmission for scarlet fever
- Understand the role of all healthcare professionals in detecting and supporting patients with suspected scarlet fever.
This learning programme should take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete (approximately 15-20 for the update programme and 5 minutes for each attempt at the post-course quiz).
