Overview
This training package has been developed in order to increase the knowledge of healthcare professionals on the safety issues associated with strong opioids. This course is intended to improve the management of patients prescribed strong opioids and help healthcare professionals identify the early signs and symptoms of adverse effects or medication related issues.

After completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Discuss the use of strong opioids
- Identify adverse effects of opioid therapy
- Describe potential strategies to reduce adverse drug reactions including those resulting in hospital admissions
