Webinar Joining Information

There are a few things we would like you to be aware of to ensure you are able to enjoy the webinar or event you have registered for and get the most out of the experience:

Joining Information:

The link to access the live webinar will appear on the page at 30 minutes prior to the event starting. If you do not see it, please reload the page.

You may enter the webinar room from 30 minutes before the start of the session. We recommend that you do this in order to check your connection and ensure that you can communicate with us.

You will be greeted by a moderator, who will help you with any issues and get you settled.

The session will start promptly at its advertised time.

The moderator will introduce the session and run through some brief details on etiquette and the webinar features.


We recommend that you have a microphone and headset plugged in and configured.
Again, please arrive in the room early so that you can check these work.

Alternatively, you can use most earphones with microphones that come with a mobile phone. We recommend the use of a headset or earphones as it creates less feedback.

You do not need to have a webcam although it is recommended.

Join using a mobile device:

You can now join our webinars via your tablet or mobile. You can simply use the joining link on the device of choice and it will open with the devices’ web browser. No app download is required.

Web Browser:

We recommend you use Google Chrome or Edge Chromium

You can use other browsers, but you may not be able to use all functionality, such as voting and shared content.

You may wish to have a brief read of the following guide. This will provide you with some information to familiarise yourself with webinars and the webinar software we will be using, Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.
