Communication to pharmacy professionals to apply for independent prescribing funding

 

All registered pharmacy professionals who provide public facing services from a community pharmacy or GP practice (including self-employed locums) can apply for funding to support them to undertake an independent prescribing course.

 

Applications should be submitted by 19th May 2024. HEIW will then review these applications against the funding available and inform the applicant of the outcome of their application by 1st June. Those who have successfully secured funding will be supplied with a sponsorship letter from HEIW. Pharmacists will also need to apply directly to the Higher Education Institute in order to secure a place on the course and should not wait for the outcomes of their funding application, due to a variety of closing dates for applications. 

 

After the initial allocation of funding in June, pharmacists can continue to apply for funding, if not all the funding has been allocated.

Gall pob gweithiwr fferyllol proffesiynol cofrestredig sy’n darparu gwasanaethau sy’n wynebu’r cyhoedd mewn fferyllfa gymunedol neu bractis meddyg teulu (gan gynnwys staff locwm hunangyflogedig) wneud cais am gyllid i’w cefnogi i ddilyn cwrs rhagnodi annibynnol.

Dylid cyflwyno ceisiadau erbyn 19th Mai 2024. Bydd AaGIC yna’n adolygu’r ceisiadau hyn yn ôl y cyllid sydd ar gael ac yn rhoi gwybod i’r ymgeisydd am ganlyniad ei gais erbyn 1st Mehefin.

 

Bydd y rhai sydd wedi llwyddo I sicrhau cyllid yn cael llythyr noddi gan AaGIC. Bydd angen I fferyllwyr hefyd wneud cais yn uniongyrchol i’r Sefydliad Addysg Uwch er mwyn sicrhau lle ar y cwrs ac ni ddylent aros am ganlyniadau eu cais am gyllid, oherwydd amrywiaeth o ddyddiadau cau at gyfer ceisiadau. Ar ôl y dyraniad cyllid cychwynnol ym mis Mehefin, gall fferyllwyr barhau I wneud cais an gyllid os and yw’r cyllid I gyd wedi’I ddyrannu.
